We
are very pleased to share our most recent news with you: We are at last
able to say that DanzActiva will have a permanent base on a first floor
(accessible to persons with disabilties) that has tremendous local and
international presence: The historic Ballajá

From
now on, the two large spaces on the northeast corner that face EL Morro
will be home to our dance school and performance space where we will present
Flamenco, Kathak, theatre, music and dance from Puerto Rico including
open Bomba classes with dancers from our Special Program. |

DanzActiva's directors,
Paulette Beauchamp and Carlos Bedoya have with enthusiam and creativity
commenced this new project that will also serve as common ground for collaborations
that feature neighboring cultural, educational and communty organizations
such as The School of Plastic Arts, The Museum of the Américas,
The Puerto Rico Institute of Culture, The National Gallery, The San Juan
History Museum , and many others.. |
